Biography & Testimonials

Hi, I'm Sarah; certified Yoga Instructor, Retreat Producer, Writer. In my 26 years as a student of Yoga I have found inspiration, sanctuary and strength in the practice and I believe everyone can benefit from Yoga.

I gained my 200 hr RYT certification in Hatha Yoga Teaching in 2012, and over the past 5 years have completed over 300 hours further training. I am fortunate to have been taught by some of the very best yoga teachers – Sadie Nardini, Tara Stiles, Benita Wolfe Galvan, Bridget Woods Kramer and Alexandria Crow. Through some of the UK and USA's greatest Yoga centres - TriYoga, Yoga Bodhi, Strala Yoga, Yoga Tree San Francisco, Yoga Works Boston (all Yoga Alliance accredited). I also hold BSc and MSc degrees in Psychology, and spent a year researching behavioural neuroscience at Harvard University: I love to bring these expertise to the mat and explore the mind body connection with my Yoga students.

My training includes Hatha, Vinyasa, and Anusara Yoga. I love the ability of all these styles to take us ever deeper into our bodies and breath. These beautiful foundations have allowed me to create my own teaching approach of using movement, ease and flowing sequences to create both strength and softness on the mat!

Some of the most awesome places I have taught yoga classes include: a boat on the Amazon river, Poolside at the Tropicana in Las Vegas, in the Temple of Roman goddess; Sulis Minerva, on a beach in Miami and a tech conference in Boston, Mass.

When one of your conference organizers happens to be a certified yoga instructor, you can put on yoga classes for attendees in the morning. That’s just what Sarah Robinson did! I was able to join about 10 other attendees for a refreshing half hour of yoga by the pool before starting our day.

Yoga with Sarah is always a joy. Whether it’s a gentle restorative practice, a more challenging warm flow session, or one of her magical ‘Yoga in the Temple’ events. Her passion for yoga shines through and inspires all of us who are lucky enough to have her as our teacher.

I have found your classes to be a welcome break from a busy and at times stressful job and the stresses of everyday life as well as an opportunity to take time for myself. I am already feeling the benefit—physically with less back pain and better sleep and mentally—with being better able to deal with stress and upset. I’m looking forward to continuing and improving.

Yoga is something I had never contemplated doing and having been encouraged by a friend to try your sessions I haven’t looked back! I really enjoy the half hour every week and really feel that it has benefited me hugely—especially as I am incorporating some of the poses into my morning stretching and pilates regime. With all the back and nerve damage issues I have I was very nervous about how I could manage and although I’m nowhere near as bendy as my colleagues I really feel better after yoga and hope I can continue with it for a long time. You’re a very patient and calm teacher and it’s always a pleasure to see you!
